Nike’s M2K Tekno silhouette – a modernized take on the infamous Monarch – has propelled itself toward the top of 2018’s chunky footwear food chain. Its complexly layered upper allows for expansive color blocking capabilities, and the usage of multiple textiles offers up a slight premium vibe. A modernised take on the legendary Nike Monarch, the M2K Tekno Pure Platinum features a clean white upper with red and black detailing throughout for a beautifully contrasted look.
Tonal branding is abundant on the shoe’s upper, with a vertical logo hit on the tongue, as well as three Swooshes appearing on the lateral side of the midfoot and the bottom of the throat. A glossy ‘Volt’ plastic heel piece adds an interesting detail, and the look is completed with a classic Monarch midsole.
