Jordan Brand has often leaned on its “Shattered Backboard” theme to dress up an array of its retro models, and the next silhouette to receive this treatment is the Air Jordan 5. The new iteration has been revealed by way of official imagery, and it appears that the Jordan’s design team has decided to make come constructional alterations on its upper half.
A majority of the base is formed with “Sail” hue that drops off on the toe boxes, leather overlays, the shoe strings and the lower throat. The collars and the mid-foot arrive with a modified look as a tonal, ventilated mesh layer has been added on top. Other accents are found via “Starfish” hits that pop up on the Jumpman insignias on the tongues, the reflective gray tongue backgrounds as well as solid black notes on the interior liners, eye stays, Jordan logos on the lower heel and the back of the midsoles. Additionally, the midsoles come painted with more orange exteriors and sit adjacent next to gray speckled spikes. Rounding off its design is a milky bottom with an orange tint.
