Jordan Brand has revealed a new Air Jordan 13 Low “Singles Day” silhouette referencing the 11/11 holiday celebrated by unmarried people in China. The event which was introduced in 1993 as an anti-valentines day of sorts has become the world’s largest online shopping day by a large margin. Similar to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the event encourages spending with widespread promotions across all categories.
To honor the unofficial holiday, Jordan Brand is following up on last year’s edition of the Air Jordan 6 “Singles Day” with an Air Jordan 13 Low “Singles Day”.
According to a first look, this special edition Air Jordan 13 Low “Singles Day” boasts a “Barely Green” and “Black” color scheme, the former arriving on the leather heel and collar overlays while the latter dresses the tumbled leather toe and box. Additionally, the green overlays have been embroidered to form a geometric pattern that includes the phrases “Air Jordan 0023” and “1111 Low”. Rounding out the final details is a black midsole and what looks to be a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
The “Singles Day” silhouette features a two-tone color scheme with a black tumbled leather upper and “Barley Green” lateral and medial side overlays. A triangular geometric pattern of nodes is stitched onto the mint-colored leathers, and underlying Matrix-style lines of “Air Jordan 0023,” “Air Jordan 2021,” and “1111 Low” text are made visible with glow-in-the-dark finishing. Additional details include a metallic Jumpman logo on the heel section, and cybernetic patterns decorating the insoles. A gloss black rubber midsole and matte glow-in-the-dark outsole complete the look.
