From a distance, the Cream may look like your average AJ5, but upon further inspection you will find that it’s so much more than that. Painted in a light cream hue, the classic design has been more or less retained but with a few ultra contemporary elements throughout. First of all, Abloh’s love of deconstruction plays a massive role here. From the synthetic overlay to the transparent circles peppered throughout, every single aspect of this shoe is made to turn heads.
Moving towards the P-51 Mustang-inspired midsole, striking red accents feature for a pop of contrast on an otherwise monotone shoe. Finishing it all off is the number “23” at the heel which nods to Michael Jordan’s iconic jersey number.
